Northern Technical College (NORTEC) will be conducting Short Intensive Skills Development Programmes of 3 – 15 days duration from 15th April 2013 to 3rd May 2013. The target group includes corporate and individual clients in the Mining, Agricultural, Industrial, Hospitality, Informal and Government sectors. These courses have been tailored to enhance practical hands on skills of the trainees. The college conducts post training evaluation. Our institution is registered in grade one by TEVETA. It is also registered with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
Northern Technical College (NORTEC) was established as an Engineering Skills Training Institution by a private charity in 1959. It was initially administered by a Board of Governors, the Commission of Technical Education and Vocation Training, the Department of Technical Education and Vocation Training, in that order and now by a Management Board as provided for by the TEVET Act No. 13 of 1998. The Board is appointed by the Minister of Science Technology and Vocational Training (MSTVT).
